A special presentation meeting was held Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Ammon City Council Chambers.  The Complete Street Connectivity Analysis was presented by Brent Turley of TranspoGroup, Meridian, Idaho.

BMPO contracted with Brent, using ViaCity and other GIS tools, to analyze community connectivity for selected schools and parks.  This analysis will provide direction to determine best connectivity routes for future planning projects and to develop policies for other major concerns including land use and connectivity.  The main focus is on bicycle and pedestrian network connectivity, in support of healthier activities and communities.

The analysis was conducted on these locations: Downtown Idaho Falls, Eagle Rock Junior High School, Sandcreek Middle School, Tautphaus Park and Iona City Park.
